Join us in the Recording Studio of the Miramar College Music Department to build your own world-class Ribbon Microphone with Austin Ribbon Microphones, Saturday, April 11, 10am – 4:30pm.
This full-day, full-immersion build is a perfect opportunity to learn more about music hardware and connect with professionals and likeminded friends.
During this hands-on class you’ll cut, bend, and fold the metal windscreen, bond powerful magnets, wire-up internal components, and create a delicate foil ribbon to install in the microphone. Videos and a tutorial will guide the process, and instructors will guide the class through this one-day build. Advance registration is required, and registration closes Thursday, April 2.
